Sampierana and the University of Bologna join forces for research

We are pleased to announce a new and important collaboration between Sampierana and the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering “Guglielmo Marconi” at the University of Bologna – Cesena Campus. This strategic partnership marks the beginning of an ambitious journey aimed at redefining the boundaries of innovation in the earthmoving machinery sector.

At the heart of this collaboration is an innovative research project aimed at optimizing the energy consumption of our battery-powered electric machines. Thanks to the complementary expertise of Sampierana and the talented individuals from the University of Bologna, advanced technological solutions will be developed capable of significantly improving the energy efficiency of our products.

This project is not only an investment in research and development but also a concrete commitment to our territory, the Emilia Romagna Region, and its young talents, as well as to a more sustainable future. Reducing the energy consumption of our machines means contributing to reducing the environmental impact of the construction sector and promoting the use of renewable energies.

At the University, we are accustomed to dedicating ourselves to research activities without ever having the opportunity to see our ideas realized. Collaborating with Sampierana offers us the chance to ground our projects and transform abstract concepts into concrete products and technologies.

Says Alberto Bellini, Professor in charge of the Cesena Campus Unit.

The collaboration with the University of Bologna allows us to connect with a research ecosystem of excellence at the European level. This will allow us to access new knowledge, collaborate with young talents, and develop cutting-edge technological solutions.

I am convinced that this project will allow us to stay up-to-date on the latest innovations even before they reach the market and consolidate our technological leadership.

Reiterates Giuseppe Fabbri, CEO of Sampierana

We are convinced that battery-powered electric machines represent the future of the construction sector. By investing in research and development, we want to consolidate our position as a technological leader and offer our customers increasingly efficient and sustainable solutions.
